Loving "me"

I like me, do you like me?... sang a famous music artist, but do you notice how the statement "I like me" came before the "do you like me?" part. So I guess that means you have to "like me" (lol,am sure you know that by me,i mean you) before you can actuali begin to care if others "like me". When I like ME, i like "my errors", i like "my excesses",i like "my extravagances",i like "my exaggerations", in short i like "my entirety" (if there's a word like that). The point however is,its important to love ourselves, its important to accept ourselves for who we are,its necessary for us to really appreciate ourselves and everything that comes with the "ME" package. When we love ourselves, then we become capable of loving others, when we appreciate ourselves then we see the beauty in the existence of others. Accepting ourselves also opens your understanding to why you are you and not someone...

"made of" not "a maid of"

Growing up,am sure am one of the numerous kids who were familiar with the line "there's a thin line between love and hate". Now all grown up (or atleast mostly grown up),i have figured that there's pretty much a thin line between everything good and evil, and the thin line is basically the choice(s) that we make. If i want good grades, putting in extra prep hours could be the thin line,or if i want to be great in life, hardwork could be the thin line, and if i want a good president,my vote could be that thin line. So also there's a thin line between been 'made of' and been 'a maid of'. In case you haven't noticed,i have a thing for dreams. Not the dozing off and cojuring images kind, but dreams as in visions, aspirations, goals et al. So am lying down and thinking of a lot of things when i remember a statement someone once said to me "...you are flippant, with so many ideas in your head, from subtle to absurd". Hmmm...anyways before i co...

Be Inspired!

I see the world like no one does, from a height above the noise and dust. I view the world with my eyes closed, to feel the warmth that has since gone cold. Look in my eyes, you'll see a gleam what you know not is that I dream Of a life which left to me is unreal, but these dreams of mine,I intend to achieve When I close my eyes, hear what I see a world that men think can never be Which others think is naught but a dream, but that dream hear thee, begins with me!

The power in every heart.

"In every community there is a work to be done,In every Nation there are wounds to heal,In every heart there is a power to do it" Have you ever had an experience where a random word,a random act or a random gesture changed your day or life forever?. This is what happened to me the day i read this words by Marianne Williamson. I was at that point where i needed an extra push...an extra reason to live, and there it was on my computer screen. I have a peculiar love for the heart and the power it can wield, a love for the heart and the dreams it can conceive or the imaginations it can bring to life,so it was no surprise that what touched me most was the phrase "... In every heart there is a power to do it". We all can see the many works left undone in our society, and the sufferings on the faces of people around us,but do we all know that in each of us is the power to create the change needed. As many times as i get the chance, i tell people that my greatest fear in l...
